Friends of Price Park

Price Park always needs volunteers who want to perform Community Service such as pulling privet or cleaning up areas of the Park. We are also always looking for Eagle Scout candidates who want to do their Eagle project.

SCOUT PROJECTS

The following projects are open and we are looking for Scouts to complete them:
1. Three wooden bridges across ravines -- about six-ten feet in length each
2. Privet pulling along Allatoona Creek
Contact: Dave Schwickerath, President FOPP daveschwick@gmail.com or 678-414-0430.

Financial support needed to help offset the cost of materials. Please let us know if you or your company can help some of the Scouts by financially supporting their project.

Trail Markers Coming Thanks to Eagle Scouts - Many people have asked for trail markers and we do have an Eagle Scout candidate who has agreed to place the markers!  We are all looking forward to the completion of this project!

RECOGNITION

  • A special thank you to Eagle Scout Tommy Simrill
The FOPP Board would like to recognize a special Eagle Scout who presented FOPP President Dave Schwickerath with a check for $671.47!  This remarkable young man raised enough money to fund his project to build four benches within the park and present FOPP with a sizable donation!  Thank you so much Tommy!

  • Kevin Graham, Troop 472
Thank you for the great work on the first of several sections of Boardwalk thru the swamp at Price Park.
